The Neck & Our Cervix

Sep 13, 2021 | Health & Wellbeing

The Neck and the Cervix are intimately linked!

The link between both firstly starts with language. Cervix in latin translates to neck. While your vocal cords reside in your neck, your vagina has a neck in the form of the cervix. Technically, connecting the uterus to vaginal canal (womb). Secondly, the throat and vagina are similar in structure, anatomy and tissues with each supported in function by diaphragmatic muscles that move in tandem with breath.

The cervix is the gateway and portal to the womb, the connection from the external world to the internal world, standing as a doorway of creation, rebirth and death through cycles and the inner seasons. The cervix moves in tides with the menstrual cycle and fluctuations of hormones. The cervix has the ability to change size and shape in response to these hormones. It produces cervical mucus for ovulation and then instinctly closes as incubator for possible fertilization of an egg. The cervix lengthens during pregnancy and efficacies during birth.

When we learn how to open the divine feminine portals of pleasure and expression, the throat, jaw, cervix and vagina through initiation of the vagus nerve, we can move into a space of receptivity and allowing. Expression of voice and primal sounds relax and soften the cervix and pelvic floor.

Women and girls have been abused and suppressed for years. Our throat chakra and sacral chakra hold the imprints of our trauma past and present.

Scream, shout it out, sing, cry, voice it and never forget to speak to your truth! Silence suppresses leading to dis-ease in the body.
