Our Founder

Dr Amanda Waaldyk is the founder and director of Angea Women’s Health, an integrative Chinese Medicine clinic dedicated to women’s health, fertility, and hormonal support through every stage and transition of life. The clinic has been supporting clients for nearly two decades.

Amanda’s approach is where soul meets science. She blends the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with evidence-based research, yoga, meditation, and energy practices to guide women back to balance and optimal health. Her mission is to empower women to reconnect with their body’s innate wisdom, understand their hormonal rhythms, and thrive in every phase of womanhood.

Amanda has a special interest in fertility, IVF support, pregnancy, endometriosis, and pelvic health. She is recognised as a leader in the field of integrative reproductive care.

Amanda empowers and educates her clients to reconnect with their inherent body wisdom, navigate their way back to balance (naturally) and live the happiest and most thriving version of their lives.

“My vision is to change the story of women’s health. When we learn to listen to the body, understand our cycles, and honour our feminine energy, we reclaim our power and our wholeness.” .

When we’re in our twenties, we think we’re invincible. I know I believed I could achieve the impossible: I ran marathons, I carved out a successful career, and I played to win. No amount of exertion would impede me, and my body was just a vehicle for striving. If it didn’t want to push harder, I would make it. And then I would crash, feeling utterly exhausted and defeated.

In my early twenties, I discovered chinese medicine and yoga and this path lead to me to study a double degree Health Science- Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Victoria University. As a Chinese Medicine Pracitioner, I treat a broad range of women’s health conditions and have a special interest and passion for fertility, pregnancy, birth, women’s health and babies.

It wasn’t until I struggled to conceive that it became my mission to educate and empower women to understand how their bodies and hormones communicate. Women’s health is an intricate matrix that starts with our menstrual cycle. We inhabit a world that’s traditionally valued masculine traits – logic, science, hard work – and haven’t made space for our feminine energy to flourish.

And so Angea Women’s Clinic was born, first as a fertility centre, and now as a safe haven and resource for women all of life stages.

A community of care, helping thousands create and birth families.

Her journey into women’s health was shaped not only by her studies, a Bachelor of Health Science in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Victoria University, internships in Chinese hospitals, and ongoing postgraduate training, but also by her own lived experience of fertility challenges. This personal path ignited her mission to transform how women are supported, both medically and emotionally, throughout their reproductive journeys.

Amanda is also the founder of Woom Health, a product and education platform designed to bridge the gap in women’s health by combining clinically formulated herbal supplements with knowledge, advocacy, and community.

I’m a thought leader, here to create change and start a women’s health revolution. Through education and embodiment
