THE THIRD CORE STAGE OF NATURAL CONCEPTION IS OVULATION
OVULATION
As ovulation approaches, we bear in mind the readiness of the egg to be launched and fertilised. The quality and quantity of the Yin and Jing is emphasised. This helps prepare the conception vessel and the ripening of the egg as it prepares to release, launch and become fertilised.
Ovulation is deemed the optimal time to be having sex. This is when are considered to be most fertile. It is during this phase that the mature follicle releases an egg, which travels down the fallopian tube into the uterus, or ‘The Womans Palace’.
From a Chinese Medicine Perspective it is important we have enough blood flow to the uterus to help release and launch the egg and the teas to enhance this process. It requires a solid foundation of yin (follicular foundations tea) to build the yang.
It is the yang energy that propels and releases the egg. As ovulation approaches, the Great Ovulation Tea helps prepare the conception vessel and the ripening of the egg as it prepares to release, launch and become fertilised.

THE FOURTH CORE STAGE OF NATURAL CONCEPTION IS LUTEAL
THE LUTEAL SUPPORT TEA
Luteal Support tea is designed to maintain our luteal phase and corpus luteum function. In TCM the warmth of the uterus refers to its metabolic activity, actively manufacturing and secreting nutrients and maintaining a highly nurturing home for your foetus.
After releasing the egg, the ruptured follicle develops into a structure called the corpus luteum (an endocrine body), which secretes the hormone progesterone. Progesterone causes the endometrium to thicken further and prepare to support embryonic development.
The egg lives for approximately twenty-four hours post ovulation. Fertilisation must occur 24-48 hours post ovulation. If the egg is fertilised, the corpus luteum begins to produce the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG).
