Your Luteal Phase & Pregnancy

Did you know you need 12 to 14 days in your luteal phase to support a pregnancy?

👉🏻From your ovulation you must have 12-14 days in your luteal phase.
👉🏻A shortened luteal that is less than 12 days can lead to failed implantation (no implantation) or increase the chance of a miscarriage.
👉🏻If you choose to do a frozen natural IVF thaw cycle, you must have 12-14 days in your luteal phase.
👉🏻A healthy progesterone level is considered 45➕ n/mol. This is tested 7 days from your ovulation.
👉🏻30n/mol will confirm you’ve ovulated, however the level is considered borderline. When we see levels in clinic of 30mol, treatment support consists of progesterone cream, acupuncture, supplements and herbs/ or support from one of our fertility specialists.
👉🏻BBT chart in your luteal phase needs to be stable. A saw tooth pattern can indicate instability, stress, thyroid etc. Low levels can indicate progesterone deficiency.

At Angea we recommend tracking your cycle. We are big advocates for learning the Angea cycle awareness method. Let me remind you, your app is not always 💯 accurate. Learning to cultivate an intimate relationship with your cycle and body will teach you to understand your cyclical hormonal ebbs and flow.

A healthy luteal phase for fertility and pregnancy is 12-14 days.
