You may have noticed at the clinic lately that there’s a lot of new faces, want to see who’s who and how talented we all are? Hehehe…We make a great team and we look forward to getting to know you better.

Viv is a qualified Nutritionist, with a special interest in women’s and children’s health. She has worked in a number of complementary health clinics alongside some fantastic mentors and teachers. She is a mum of one (with her second on the way due in Nov 2017), and has ambitions to one day re-enter into private practise and specialize in fertility, pregnancy, breastfeeding and children’s nutrition.

Viv is passionate about wholefoods, and when it was time for her daughter to start solids, she noticed a significant gap in the market for busy mums to buy healthy, nourishing baby food. Store bought options, although often ‘organic’ and ‘100% natural’ are still highly processed, pasteurized and loaded with (natural) fruit sugars. They don’t resemble real food and are not a good foundation for good eating habits. However, many mums simply do not have the time to do all the cooking themselves. So Viv recently started her own range of wholesome, nutritious baby food purees. Incorporating 100% whole foods, high quality proteins, and incredible superfoods, Bubba & Bean is truely unique and choc full of the nutrition that little ones need.

Viv also runs workshops on how to make your own baby food, and loves being a part of the Angea team to join women on their journey to starting a healthy and thriving family.

Current favourite recipe:

Nourishing brekki smoothie
1 small banana
1/4 avocado
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 big handful of baby spinach
1 tsp chia seeds
1 – 2 tbsp of your favourite, clean, vegan protein powder (I’m currently loving choc flavour!)
1 – 1.5 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
This is an incredible breakfast that ticks all the boxes for me: full of protein, good fats, and fibre, it will keep you full and satisfied all morning. The addition of spinach starts the day with a serve of veggies (#winner!) and also provides a nice boost of those nutrients that women (and particularly pregnant women) need: iron, magnesium, calcium, antioxidants and more. Plus, it’s naturally sweet from the banana and blueberries, curbing any sweet cravings that I personally can be guilty of at the moment. Enjoy!
